چکیده

Domain – A culturally constructed area of knowledge, such as language, math, music, or social interaction. Neural network – A set of neurons that are structurally and functionally interconnected so that they activate in coherent patterns associated with mental functions. Neuroimaging – A variety of research techniques, some invasive and some not, concerned with measuring andmapping the physiology and structure of the brain. Neuromyth – A misguided, oversimplified, or incorrect tenet in education that concerns the brain or neuroscience. Skill – An ability to behave or think in an organized way in a particular context.

Behavioral and neural bases of noncoincidence learning in Hermissenda.

Neurobiological studies of associative learning and memory have focused nearly exclusively on the analysis of neural plasticity resulting from paired stimuli. A second major category of associative-learning processes, one that has been conspicuously neglected in cellular studies, is that of conditioned inhibition (CI), learning that one stimulus signals the absence of another. The physiological...

O2: Neuroscience and Talent: How Neuroscience Can Enhance Successful Plan of Talent Strategy

Performance and development are based on hard work, experience and learning. Learning how to change different behaviors is crucial to successful talent management plans. Within the brain there are complex connected circuits that can identify threats. The brain reacts to change as a threat. There is also a collection of brain structures tied to a natural reward system that are involved in the re...

Linking neurogenetics and individual differences in language learning: the dopamine hypothesis.

Fundamental advances in neuroscience have come from investigations into neuroplasticity and learning. These investigations often focus on identifying universal principles across different individuals of the same species. Increasingly, individual differences in learning success have also been observed, such that any seemingly universal principle might only be applicable to a certain extent withi...

Maternal feeding with walnuts (Juglans regia) improves learning and memory in their adult pups

Objective: Walnut (Juglans Regia) is a domestic fruit of Iran. Walnut kernel (WK) has many beneficial constituents such as unsaturated fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamin E. Scientific studies have shown that fatty acids and vitamin E can modulate learning and memory processes. The aim of the present work was to study effects of walnut consumption by mothers during pregnancy and lactation on...

The Drosophila larva as a model for studying chemosensation and chemosensory learning: a review.

Understanding the relationship between brain and behavior is the fundamental challenge in neuroscience. We focus on chemosensation and chemosensory learning in larval Drosophila and review what is known about its molecular and cellular bases. Detailed analyses suggest that the larval olfactory system, albeit much reduced in cell number, shares the basic architecture, both in terms of receptor g...
